Who is Greater Manchester's new Mayor Bev Craig?
I will work every day for us to make sure everyone shares in the success Greater Manchester is building — making sure there's more money in people's pockets, pride in every town centre with a New High Streets Fund, a new generation of council and affordable homes, and an expanded Bee Network that freezes fares and that works for all of us."
'I was caught in a rip current — lifeguards saved me in 30 seconds'
It's exhilarating, you get a lot of adrenaline,
Straight away I knew he was in a rip [current],
I felt relived when I saw the jet ski coming,
For example we have an offshore wind sock which we'll put on top of the lifeguard hut to say 'no inflatables' because an offshore wind can drag an inflatable out to see in a matter of seconds,
Pick a lifeguarded beach and if you have any questions when you come down there, come and speak to the lifeguards,

Trump now 'not sure' about letting Ukraine build Patriot missiles
We have not agreed to that. We're talking about it. But it's a hard thing to give away, that kind of technology,
We are gonna give you a licence to make Patriots,
Very simply put, we want the war in Ukraine with Russia ended,
As Russia's air attacks on our country continue unabated, air defence — specifically Patriot interceptors against ballistic missiles — remains a top priority,
He accepted that he will give us licences,
I don't think this would ever happen, but, you know, those people that you give that technology, they can someday turn on you,
Greyhounds bound for Australia as New Zealand racing ban takes effect
We will be supporting people that are looking to transfer over,
In an attempt to solve the rehoming crisis, the racing industry had devised a program of sending retired greyhounds to the US and Canada,
We understand that arrangements are being made to relocate some dogs to Australia for racing purposes. "However, we are not in a position to comment further on these arrangements."
I will go to my grave saying that the greyhound welfare standards are the best of any racing code in New Zealand."
Australia's import requirements for dogs are based on biosecurity risk, not the intended use of the animal,
We acknowledge the industry made advances in safety, but the high injury and death rates persisted with no sign of improvement,
We understand a small number of dogs are being exported to Australia, but the vast majority (1,300 to 1,400) will be rehomed over the next couple of years."... This is a one-off final act rather than an ongoing issue,

On Friday Trump insisted that Israel was "very happy" with the proposed agreement, describing it as a "big step for the Middle East"
Every day comes with a new difficulty, and we are constantly thinking about safety and basic needs."... What matters most is stopping the fighting, protecting civilians and setting a new chapter of re-building,
I don't see an ending to this cycle, but I pray it's the case,

Agentic security failures unfold at machine speed, but determining who is materially liable still moves at a lawsuit's pace,
I think we have to make sure that the legal frameworks keep these events really illegal, keep the companies that are doing some mistakes leading to that accountable,
Today the industry is extending grace, but the first time an autonomous agent causes a breach involving real data, a real plaintiff, and real financial losses, liability won't be an academic debate anymore,

We've had some calls where people want assistance in moving large items such as furniture, complaints about poor services, such as cold food at a restaurant,
