Illinois commission recommends investigating federal immigration agents for misconduct and criminal charges
Accountability is the very basis of our democracy. We have laws for a reason, and when those laws have been broken, the perpetrators must face consequences,
Our communities and our people were subjected to an unprecedented campaign of harassment, intimidation and brutality,
If JB Pritzker spent this much time and energy addressing crime and supporting the arrest of criminal illegal aliens instead of providing them with sanctuary, Illinois residents would be much safer.”
Governor Pritzker continues to refuse to do his job to protect his citizens from illegal alien crime and instead chooses to smear our law enforcement.”
Iran is accelerating efforts to dig out missiles and munitions
Inflation is worse, they still have the drought going on, they still have trouble making payroll, their economy’s flattened, they face crippling economic sanctions around the world,
They have missiles, about 82% are gone, and they have drones, and most of them are gone,
Following this successful military campaign, President Trump has every option at his disposal. However, his preference is always diplomacy, as he instructed American negotiators to work towards a deal that ensures Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon,
While you are digging out — which is exactly what you’re doing, digging out of bombed-out and devastated facilities — we are only getting stronger,
We know what military assets you are moving and where you are moving them to,
Spotify wants to help listeners better identify AI-generated music
In the AI era, it’s more important than ever to be able to trust the authenticity of the music you listen to,
Listeners need to trust that the artists they're listening to are real artists building careers in music,
We’ll pair these standards with human review and judgment to identify real artists behaving in good-faith, not just filtering out bad actors,
FCC head says agency was not pressured to order review of ABC broadcast licenses
The FCC, which regulates the broadcast industry, announced its early review on Tuesday, a day after President Donald Trump publicly called on ABC to fire late-night host Jimmy Kimmel for a joke he made about first lady Melania Trump last week
The FCC may claim these actions are based on DEI policies and have nothing to do with Jimmy Kimmel, but its timing makes it clear these justifications are a fig leaf,
It was a very light roast joke about the fact that he’s almost 80 and she’s younger than I am. It was not by any stretch of the definition a call to assassination.”
ABC and its stations have a long record of operating in full compliance with FCC rules and serving their local communities with trusted news, emergency information, and public‑interest programming,
We are confident that record demonstrates our continued qualifications as licensees under the Communications Act and the First Amendment and are prepared to show that through the appropriate legal channels,
There was no pressure from the outside. There was no suggestion from the outside,

Trump gives his blessing to Iraq's new pick for prime minister and invites al-Zaidi to Washington
Trump then posted on his social media platform Truth Social congratulating Ali al-Zaidi and wishing him “success as he works to form a new Government free from terrorism that could deliver a brighter future for Iraq.”
We look forward to a strong, vibrant, and highly productive new relationship between Iraq and the United States,
This appointment comes at a sensitive time that requires concerted efforts from all political and social forces,
Video shows NYC officers knocked to ground by house explosion during domestic violence call
Dramatic video released by New York City police showed the moment officers responding to a domestic violence call at a Queens home were knocked off their feet in an explosion
The guy just lit the house on fire,
Their focus stayed exactly where it needed to be: on the people inside, on getting those children out, and on making sure that situation didn’t claim innocent lives,

Iran 'will be participating' at World Cup, including games in U.S., FIFA chief says
Let me start at the outset confirming, straightaway for those who maybe want to say something else or want to write something else, that of course Iran will be participating at the FIFA World Cup 2026,
Given that this government has assassinated our leader, we cannot participate in the World Cup. Our players do not have security,
Nothing from the U.S. has told (players) they can’t come,
I really don't care" if Iran plays

FDA wants to limit compounded versions of weight loss drugs
If finalized, the move could impact telehealth firms that rely on outsourcing facilities to produce these drugs in bulk, while bolstering Novo and Lilly’s efforts against unauthorized versions that are eating into sales of their blockbuster treatments
The agency’s notice today reaffirms that compounding is meant to be a rare and limited exception to FDA’s gold-standard drug approval framework,
That means there is no basis for compounders to make tirzepatide knockoffs,

From The Sports Desk: Staying alive
After falling behind the Los Angeles Lakers 3-0, the Houston Rockets have now won two games to force a Game 6
We don’t have a lot of time to dwell on it,
It’s so hard to close out a team in the postseason, to win a series, and this is our first time doing it as a unit, so we’ll see what we’ve got.”
Israeli interception of Gaza-bound aid flotilla criticized as an 'act of piracy'
The abduction of civilians in the middle of the Mediterranean, over 600 miles from Gaza, in full view of the world,

Camp Mystic withdraws application to open this summer

Senate bans members and staff from trading on prediction markets
The resolution, which changes the rules of the Senate, passed unanimously without a roll call vote
Speaker Johnson should immediately do the same thing in the House, and prohibit House members from playing around in prediction markets as well,
I think it’d be an endless wild goose chase to try to find everyone who might have inside information, right?"... Because staff has inside information, White House staff has more inside information, their friends then have the inside information. Their friends’ friends then have the inside information. So you can’t fix this problem by banning people from trading. You can only fix this problem by banning the markets to begin with.”
Just the possibility that members could have their votes influenced because of betting is a reason enough to prohibit members from meddling in the prediction markets. Of all the issues we debate in Washington, this falls clearly in the category of a no-brainer,
So it’s extremely important that the public know that from this day forward, there is no chance that any member of Congress, member of the Senate, in this case, in this resolution I’m going to propose, be involved in any prediction market whatsoever,
FEMA is welcoming back 15 whistleblowers placed on leave during Kristi Noem's tenure
FEMA has welcomed back at least 15 whistleblowers who were placed on indefinite administrative leave in August after signing a public letter protesting moves by the since-ousted Department of Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem
All employees associated with this matter were placed on paid administrative leave and were offered a return to duty status effective April 30, 2026,
I’ve called for these whistleblowers to be reinstated and applaud their bravery and dedication in the face of attacks from this administration,
Zohran Mamdani would ask King Charles to return Kohinoor Diamond — but return it where?
Mamdani was at an unrelated press conference on Wednesday morning when he was asked how he envisioned his meeting with Charles at the 9/11 memorial alongside other local and state leadership
If I was to speak to the king separately from that, I would probably encourage him to return the Koh-i-Noor diamond,

Man arrested and charged with running meth lab at Michigan State University
He is being held at the Ingham County Jail on a $500,000 cash surety bond
King Charles set to return home with a quiet sense of mission accomplished
Not only has the 77-year-old Charles shown that he is one of the few world leaders able to command Trump’s respect, he issued remarkably frank points on subjects fraying U.S.-U.K. ties
I think he is able to kind of express these things in a way that Prime Minister Keir Starmer isn’t,
Charles is the only world figure that could come at this very turbulent time, into the White House, and politely say what needs to be said in a way that doesn’t offend,
I think if he were doing that, if that were up to him, he would have probably helped us with Iran,
I like Keir Starmer very much, but I think he’s made a tragic mistake on immigration and a tragic mistake on energy,
I can’t give you an answer to that.”
This was almost like a last resort by a kind of spokesperson or a respected figure of the international community to walk into the beehive without getting stung and to say what needs to be said once and for all,
Trump doesn’t have much of incentive to be thin-skinned just now,
