Indigenous leader Brooklyn Rivera dies in Nicaragua after nearly 3 years of detention
Nobody heard from him since then,
This just shows the cruelty with which this government treats anyone who stands in the way of their complete consolidation of power,
They took him alive, and after refusing to tell his family, his lawyer, the world anything about his fate, then they call him brother,
He has been fighting in one way or another for their rights,

Over 40 dead in Ebola outbreak in DR Congo and Uganda
Over 40 people have died in a growing Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda, where government and international aid organizations are struggling to cope with the spread of the disease
Of course, we're still working on vaccines and treatments but that doesn't mean that people cannot recover from Ebola,
That history gives me real confidence,
Andy Beshear says ‘Texas is in play’ for Democrats after Ken Paxton’s Senate GOP primary win
The Kentucky governor referred to the GOP-controlled Texas state House’s impeachment of Paxton in 2023 on bribery and corruption charges before the state Senate acquitted him
Texas is in play. Democrats have never run against a candidate like Ken Paxton that is so corrupt that his own party impeached him,... This is someone who does not have the character... to serve as AG or even as dog catcher.”
If I was voting in Texas, I could never vote for the Democrat nominee.”
And so what does he do? He simply attacks his opponent over and over,
Graham Platner’s wife ‘angry, disappointed’ her past disclosure of his extramarital sexting was made public
It makes me really angry, disappointed, and I find it really shameful that there’s a group of media outlets and people who are willing to spread gossip instead of talking about real issues that Graham is is running on,

I think that the weaponization fund is a bad idea from the start, and I would encourage the administration just to drop it,
I mean it’s deeply offensive to me that you could have a fund that could even possibly compensate people who assaulted police officers or vandalized the Capitol on January 6, and I think that’s broadly held by most Republicans and most Americans,

After new drug’s ‘unprecedented’ results for pancreatic cancer, doctors look at other uses
Based on the data we have now, I think this drug is relevant to all patients with pancreatic cancer, assuming that they have metastatic cancer,
There’s not a doubt in my mind that the second it becomes available, I will start using it,
It’s been incredibly hard to drug that mutation,
Statistically, I knew only half of them get the pill, and we don’t get to choose,
Even with our best chemotherapies, the average benefit is around 6 months, sometimes as little as weeks or months,
I feel great every single day,

As the visionary behind the Great American State Fair, we are excited to announce that President Trump will personally kick off this historic celebration on Wednesday, June 24 in an opening ceremony celebrating America’s 250th birthday,
I don’t want so-called “Artists” that get paid far too much money, who aren’t happy
The Great American State Fair will bring together all states and territories to showcase the very best of America through state exhibits, industry displays, family friendly attractions and movie screenings, musical performances, military ensembles, incredible flyovers, and an iconic Ferris wheel on the National Mall.”
Protests over ‘cruel’ conditions at New Jersey ICE facility draw counterprotest and a curfew
At one point, a group of federal agents, some carrying long guns, and an armored vehicle were stationed outside
This was absolutely necessary to protect public safety, and avoid escalation from ICE,
We’re here basically to support ICE and the situations and the dealings that they’re unfortunately coming about. They’re just trying to do their jobs,

WHO chief visits epicenter of the Ebola outbreak in eastern Congo as cases outpace response
Never before has an Ebola outbreak recorded so many cases so soon after its declaration,
This is a difficult situation, and we recognize that. But the Democratic Republic of Congo has faced the Ebola virus many times before. We are confident that it can once again bring this outbreak under control,
The best way to address this is to provide all the necessary support to fight the disease at its epicenter and to continue offering every assistance needed,
Closing borders, as some countries have done, only discourages transparency. The Democratic Republic of Congo is reporting the situation openly and transparently,
Nobody knows the true scale and severity of this outbreak,
